The only Award-Giving Body that recognizes Cebu’s finest blogs and bloggers is now gearing up on its 4^th year.  The 4^th Annual Best Cebu Blogs Awards opens the nomination to all qualified bloggers today.  Bloggers who don’t want to compete and Non-bloggers can also nominate their favorite blogs.

To compensate last year’s lack of category focus, BCBA officially launches this year’s major awarding category – The Best Cebu Blogs Awards by Niche.  The Best Cebu Blogs Awards by Niche is composed of the following:

Best Cebu Corporate Blogs [Top 5] – BCBA is looking for 5 Cebu-based companies, whether foreign, national or home-grown targeting Cebu Market or with Cebu-based offices, that have made blogging relevant and integrative in their company’s operations and functions for information dissemination, organizational improvement, marketing and publicity.  Non-profit corporations who are maintaining their own blogs are also eligible to compete.  Nominate your Best Cebu Corporate Blog/s NOW!

Best Cebu Technology Blog – BCBA is looking for this year’s best blog that features relevant technology information and updates.  Nominate your Best Cebu Technology Blog NOW!

Though BCBA makes big changes on its awarding categories, the Top 10 Famous Cebu Bloggers (According to Facebook Likes) is still part of the overall competition.  Special Awards like Yahoo’s Choice, CBSi’s Choice, Special Citation, and Visayas Bloggers’ Choicewill also be awarded to deserving bloggers.

Criteria for Judging

Best Cebu Blogs Awards by Niche will be judged according to the following criteria:

1. Content = 30% [Grammar, Integration of photos, Videos and other media, and Blog's influence on its chosen niche]
2. Design and Layout = 30% [User-friendliness and appeal]

3. Relevance to NICHE = 40 % [Uniqueness of chosen Blog Niche, Presentation of Niche’s topic/article]

The Best Cebu Blogs Awards Top 10 Famous Bloggers will initially be judged according to the total number of Likes on their posted nomination entry on BCBA Facebook Fan Page Wall.  All qualified nominees are automatically included on this competition.  Special Awardswill be judged according to the sponsors’ liking and choice.

Prizes and Certificates

Winners of Best Cebu Blogs Awards by Niche will receive trophies, certificates, and right for the BCBA 2011 online badge.  Money awards depend upon the sponsors’ discretion and will be announced before the awarding night.

Winners of the Best Cebu Blogs Awards Top 10 Famous Bloggers (According to Facebook Likes) will receive certificates and right for the BCBA online badge.  Special prizes from sponsors will be announced before the awarding night.

Winners of Special Awards will receive sponsored gifts, certificates, and right for BCBA 2011 online badge.  Prizes depend upon sponsors’ discretion and will be announced before the awarding night.

Aside from trophies and certificates, qualified nominees will get massive blog exposures during the competition period and bloggers who will emerge as winners will likely gain authority and massive following during and after the contest.

Awards Night

The 4th Annual Best Cebu Blogs Awards Awarding Night is scheduled on November 26, 2011 (Saturday) at Days Hotel, Mandaue City, 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
