What’s new in Miss Lapu-Lapu 2018?

Miss Lapu-Lapu has a new project director and committee head. Atty. Ethelbert Ouano of the City Legal Office of the City Government of Lapu-Lapu is appointed by the Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta Executive Committee, Inc,, a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under Philippine laws to be at the helm of the pageant.  Atty. Ouano is ably assisted by his co-chairman Dr. Ronal Ferrer of the Department of Education Lapu-Lapu City Division.

The new Miss Lapu-Lapu Pageant Logo

Aside from a new committee head or project director, the Miss Lapu-Lapu Committee also rolled out a new branding logo.  The Miss Lapu-Lapu logo portrays a proud modern Oponganon woman’s silhouette with her head held up high. The head is overlaid with 30 petals and foliage as a symbol of femininity and a representation of the 30 barangays of the Historic Resort City. The crown is gold in color and is shaped like a bridge with mighty towers embellished with precious stones to symbolize grandeur, elegance, glitz, and glamour.

The logo is a refreshing take on the usual beauty pageant logos. The colors used are sky blue, golden yellow, persimmon orange, and forest green, which are Lapu-Lapu City’s branding colors. The font is straightforward and presents the pageant name with clarity.

Overall, the Miss Lapu-Lapu 2018 logo design reflects the pageant’s tagline: Beautiful. Colorful. It adheres to the mission and vision of the search for the modern ambassadress, embodying the promotion and preservation of the rich and colorful heritage of the city.

The Coronation Night

Miss Lapu-Lapu 2018 Coronation Night will be on November 20, 2018, 7:00 PM at the Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City to be directed by Ms. Marti Ybañez. Tickets will soon be available at the City Hall front corridors.
