Are you into pageants? Or a fan maybe? If yes, then you should know Jenna Talackova, a first ever transgender who joined Miss Universe Canada last May of this year who was among the Top 12 contestants in the said pageant. Talackova, 23 years old, who was born male and underwent a sex change four years ago, competed with 61 female contestants. So what's the point? Well, Facecebu.net found a female contestant at Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2012 who fully supports Transgenders in Female Pageants - she is no other than Cebu's representative, Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez!

This young lady in number 25 didn't think Transgenders are threats for Real or Female-born candidates in pageants. "It's more about Self-esteem and confidence. All of us are very beautiful but when you see yourself as beautiful then you have the confidence and self-esteem then those threats are nothing. So, for me it's about equality, i mean give them a chance because they want that too." Gomez said in an exclusive interview with FaceCebu.net author.



So, does she has a competitive advantage among other candidates? "Everyone has an edge. I do have an edge and i do have the experience and i am confident about myself but i don't want to expect but i am going to do my best - to represent Cebu with great pride and joy." she added.


Aside from Miss Gomez, we also have a representative from Lapu-Lapu City in the face of Paula Bascon who might also make it into the top 12 of Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2012.

On July 20, these 30 lovely candidates will compete in their Swimsuit attire in Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa. Will cebu's bets make it to the top 3 of the swimsuit competition?

The Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2012 grand finals and coronation night is to be held on August 12 at the UP Theatre which to be showed by GMA-7, this year's official TV partner. The winners will bring the country's name in the Miss Asia Pacific International, Miss Tourism International (Malaysia Edition), Tourism Queen of the Year and Miss Intercontinental.
