While the extension of home quarantine is set until the end of April, most of us are still obliged to go to supermarkets and convenience stores to buy commodities needed for our daily lives. With the fear of being infected with the pandemic Covid-19, we make sure we do all extra measures in everything we do and one of them is to do cashless in all our transactions, right? I've been doing this lately to our nearest 7-Eleven branch. Do you know it's easy to do the transactions using the 7-Eleven barcode using GCash?

First of all, why the use of a 7-Eleven Barcode?

Aside from the fact that it is a cashless transaction, you do not need to be online on your mobile device for your transactions to be made. You just need to show the Barcode saved to your gallery during payment. And prior to that, you can prepare yourself at home by cashing in an amount of money to your 7-Eleven Barcode easily and worry-free. Now, look below for a step by step guide on how to cash in and scan to pay using 7-Eleven barcode.

HOW TO CASH IN USING 7-ELEVEN BARCODE

    1. Open the GCash App and input MPIN. (MPIN is Mobile Personal Identification Number, a four-digit passcode that you will use to authenticate your GCash transactions.)
    2. Select Cash-in
    3. In the Upper Right, click the Search icon
    4. Choose 7-Eleven Barcode
    5. Enter the amount you want to add
    6. Download barcode to your photo gallery and you can now transact to any 7-Eleven branches nationwide
    7. Show the code to the Cashier to pay

HERE'S HOW TO SCAN TO PAY AT 7-ELEVEN

    1. Open the GCash App and input MPIN. (MPIN is Mobile Personal Identification Number, a four-digit passcode that you will use to authenticate your GCash transactions.)
    2. Select “Pay QR”.
    3. Select “Generate Code”.
    4. Select the Payment Method as GCash. Note: GCredit is currently not accepted.
    5. Present the generated barcode to the 7-Eleven cashier.
    6. 7-Eleven cashier to scan the barcode and wait for payment confirmation.
    7. Payment confirmation will prompt “Payment complete, Press okay to proceed”
    8. The transaction reference number will appear on the cashier’s screen.
    9. Once payment is confirmed, the 7-Eleven cashier will issue a receipt.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has incremented in the past few days. I hope you can share in flatting the curve by using cashless transactions while buying your food at supermarkets and in 7-Eleven branches. Stay safe!
