Cebu Exchange houses over 4,500 employees of Concentrix + Webhelp and is now its largest staffed site in the Philippines. It was dubbed at the launch as the “Workplace of the Future”, signifying the combination of innovative, state-of-the-art amenities that meet diverse workforce needs and sustainable facilities aligned with the company’s environmental, social, and governance focus.

With various certifications such as LEED GOLD, BERDE 5-star, and EDGE Zero Carbon, Cebu Exchange is also considered the largest net-zero carbon-certified building in the country, according to the company’s joint announcement with real estate developer Arthaland earlier this year. This is a win for the environment as the building operation has 25% less energy consumption and 34% lower CO2 emissions. At a physical site tour during the launch, Concentrix + Webhelp also showed guests distinctly designed facility features such as the Tech Zone, Workout and Wellness Zone, Quiet Zone, site clinic and lactation room, all-gender washrooms, and other flexible, inclusive spaces such as the Entertainment and Social Zones which are multi-purpose activity areas all employees can freely use.

With its remarkable presence in 52 sites and 20 cities across the Philippines supporting over 100,000-strong game-changers today, Concentrix + Webhelp launching its newest and biggest site in Cebu Exchange as the “Workplace of the Future” truly solidifies its commitment to growth, sustainability and superior experiences for Filipinos. (PRESS RELEASE) The Cultural Center of the Philippines and Arthaland co-present an exhibition of visual artworks and ethnographic objects from the CCP 21st Century Art Museum (21AM) Collection.

Arthaland, the foremost green property developer in the Philippines, is committed to building sustainable developments. With a vision that extends to enriching lives at home, work, in communities, and throughout the nation, Arthaland's projects epitomize a holistic approach to prosperity.

Introducing "Udtong Tutok: Art at High Noon," a remarkable collaboration between Arthaland and the CCP that underlines the company's resolute commitment to sustainable growth. By leveraging the power of art, Arthaland seeks to foster youth involvement and enhance cultural awareness, showcasing their steadfast dedication to a brighter, greener future. Udtong Tutok frames the exhibition as an illuminating gesture amidst uncertain times, a coming together of seemingly diverse unrelated things that when juxtaposed with one another could provide new perspectives and insights that may challenge the conventional understanding of Philippine art and culture. Udtong Tutok: Art at High Noon celebrates the convergence of diverse cultures noting the importance of tensions and contradictions, affinities and continuities that shape a collective impulse to imagine and create. It is a gathering of ideas, virtues and values, angst, and anguish that need to be recognized and looked upon rather clearly so as to chart a new direction for Filipino creatives and cultural workers to thrive.

Painting #1 by Jose Joya, Oil on Wood, 1959, CCP 21st Century Art Museum (21AM) Collection

Encounter, Artist Proof by Manuel Soriano, Woodcut, 1972, CCP 21st Century Art Museum(21AM) Collection

Udtong Tutok as an illuminating action sheds light upon the significance of regional cultures in the development of Philippine art. By bringing the works outside the Cultural Center of the Philippines to the regions, the objects encounter new audiences – inviting strangers to pause from their busy day, to converse with them, unravel new paradigms, and chart new relationships. In the context of Cebu, the exhibition aims to provide much-needed conversation on Philippine modern and contemporary art amidst Cebuano artists’ strong leanings towards academic classicism. The exhibition remembers the efforts of national artist Jose Joya who came to Cebu to help establish the first fine arts program outside of Manila in 1975. Since then, his annual visits to Cebu opened up important conversations on modern art and its practices, creating cross-cultural artistic encounters between Manila and Cebu-based artists and ushering in a new direction in Cebuano artmaking. True to its history as a place of encounters, Cebu continues to be an encouraging place for artists of varied interests to reflect, refract, and diffract the waves of creativity into forms that speak true to themselves, their passions, and their beliefs.

(PRESS RELEASE)  - In a groundbreaking deal, Concentrix, a global leader in customer experience (CX) solutions and technology and the country’s largest private employer, confirms its plan to further expand in 2023 with a big move to Cebu Exchange.

This strategic partnership with ARTHALAND will see Concentrix bolster its leading local presence by adding Cebu Exchange, a PEZA-accredited office development on track to be the largest net-zero carbon-certified building in the Philippines. The expansion is expected to bring Concentrix’s site total in the country to 51, as the company remains committed to adding more jobs as well as investing in superior and sustainable facilities for its growing staff.

Cebu City has become a popular location for businesses due to its highly skilled talent pool, superior regional accessibility, and more cost-effective alternative to Manila. In 2020, the city was named the 12TH most attractive BPO destination by the Tholons Global Innovation Index.

“Cebu has always been an exciting market for the office sector”, said Dom Fredrick Andaya, Senior Director of Office Services – Tenant Representation at Collier's. “Sixty percent of all provincial office transactions that we recorded in 2022 happened in Cebu, and a bulk of these were office lease transactions cornered by IT-BPM firms. Aside from the abundance of highly skilled workers, the availability of higher-quality buildings with sustainability features provides extra incentive for occupiers to locate and expand in the city. We are very happy and thankful to have facilitated this landmark partnership between Concentrix and Arthaland.”

As part of the deal, Concentrix will take up a total gross leasable area of 16,686.73 sq.m spanning multiple floors of operations in Cebu Exchange later this year.  It is the largest commercial transaction and office take-up in Southern Philippines among comparable transactions of the same volume and requirements.

The partnership also underscores Concentrix's strategic  Environmental, Social and Governance focus and Doing Right DNA, aligning with ARTHALAND’s sustainability development goals, where the welfare of occupants is of utmost importance.   The wellness features of Cebu Exchange is a testament to Concentrix being fanatical in caring for staff.

Cebu Exchange's reputation for sustainability, an important factor in Concentrix’s choice of facility, is also reinforced by ARTHALAND's sustainability projects outside its developments. ARTHALAND has an ongoing sustainable public school rehabilitation program in Cebu Island, which includes fixing roofs and adding solar panels, repainting public schools with low-VOC paints, providing low-energy LED lighting, and rehabilitation of toilet fixtures.

"At Concentrix, we design, build, and run the future of customer experience (CX). And as we continue to grow, we also reimagine the future of workspace – what kind of facility is needed by our teams today and those joining our organization tomorrow. We are thrilled to partner with Cebu Exchange in giving our teams the best sustainable and wellness-centered office space available in the market. Cebu Exchange’s energy-optimized facility not only supports our environment conservation goal but also provides our people with flexible spaces to be creative and social.   It is critically important for us to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our staff while also being responsible for the health of our planet. As an industry leader, we proudly embrace the workspace of the future, today,” said Amit Jagga, SVP and Country Leader of Concentrix Philippines.

"We are delighted to welcome Concentrix to the Cebu Exchange. The combination of Concentrix's expertise in customer engagement and business performance, and Cebu Exchange's commitment to sustainability and wellness, is a powerful collaboration that will bring benefits to all stakeholders. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.” said Oliver L. Chan, Senior Vice President of ARTHALAND.

Cebu Exchange has been pre-certified LEED Gold from the U.S. Green Building Council, achieved the highest 5-Star rating for its design from the Philippine Green Building Council, and the WELL Health-Safety Rating 2022 for Facility Operations and Management through the International WELL Building Institute. It is also registered and on track to receive (?) EDGE certification by the International Finance Corporation.

Through the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment of the World Green Building
Council, ARTHALAND has pledged to decarbonize 100% of its portfolio by 2030. ARTHALAND is the first real estate developer in Asia to do so and the first signatory from the Philippines.
