Let me give you some preview of their rooms, amenities, and of course, food from The Kitchen Restaurant.

THE HOTEL

Book your next getaway at The Reef Island Resort Mactan. Are you planning your future vacations way ahead of time? The Reef Island Resort-Mactan is gearing up to welcome you to its sea-and-sky sanctuary along the stunning shoreline of Mactan, Cebu.

I stayed in their Deluxe King Room. Personally, I love my assigned room during the Stay simulations. The only thing is, the Complimentary water is very pricy, it cost PHP 150 for 500 ml of water. As a "Camel" Person, (I called myself this coz I drink a lot of water every day), I needed to buy a 6 liter of water from a nearby convenience store. Good thing, Grab and Foodpanda are available for delivery within the area. Now, Here are some good snaps of my Deluxe King Room!

THE AMENITIES

A full, expansive view of the sea, including the adjacent Olango Islands, is a special bonus to those who are staying in any of our many absolute ocean rooms and suites. The 34 Premier Rooms and Suites, and the expansive Reef corner suite above all.

Kids and kids-at-heart alike can R&R to their hearts’ content at the Kids Arcade, the Virtual Room, the exclusive children's pool, and the rest of our family-friendly facilities. For some much-needed alone time, adults can recharge at our fitness gym and the Reef Spa.

Located on the Lobby Floor, just beside the infinity pool, The Kitchen offers a range of Southeast Asian Specialties that can be enjoyed indoors and outdoors. Let's enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner overlooking the beautiful shores of Mactan. Paborito jud nako ang King Prawns, mga 4 guro akong nahurot! 🤣🤣🤣 Ug lami and juicy ilang chicken!!! Standard King Room - I finally experience their spacious Standard room which has a great city view of Cebu Business Park and its heart, the Ayala Center Cebu. Their Standard room has 25 sqm featuring modern decor and high speed internet access, each room comes with our signature Soft and Firm pillows, high quality beddings, ensuite bathroom, full service amenities, and 45 inch LED TV. And of course, the WORKDESK is a PLUS Point especially to us, Bachelors or Freelancers who just wanted a green yet lovely skyscapers view of Cebu City.

WorkDesk - this special area of the Standard room or any room is actually my favorite. Their internet access is not really that fast but it can complete any office tasks. This area is so comfy working with soft and firm pillows or just focusing on your work tasks at their work desk. And while your brain cells are brainstorming, your eyes are feasting on the beauty of Cebu Business Park skyscrapers.

Junior Executive Suites - Retreat to our 48 sqm One Bedroom Suite that offers premium comfort and space, featuring a separate living area, high speed internet, and two 50 inch LED TVs. Rejuvenate in a plush king bed with choice of Soft and Firm pillows, ensuite bathroom with separate rain and handheld shower, and bathtub.

Waiting Area and Lobby - Their waiting area is so spacious! I love the sleek decoration and so modern! They also have a special area for Browsing and or printing documents. Holiday Inn Cebu City really exceeded my expectations!

The Fitness Center is located on the 7th Floor of the hotel and operates 24/7. Access to the Fitness Center is free for all guests.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

SEVII Restaurant - We were indulged to a full meal during our stay thus we were able to try their Breakfast Buffet, lunch and Dinner at the sevii restaurant. Most of the menu features famous dishes around the world but what excites me the most is that they offer authentic Thailand Menu, and other Asian Cuisines such as Pinoy's Crispy Pata, Korea's Kimchi Bowl, and many more.

MUST-RECOMMENDED DISHES? I am the type of person who can be pleased with just "simple yet very good to the taste buds" dishes. But with this list, I can say that these are Holiday Inn Cebu City's top Menu for the guests and tourists.

📌 For Lunch or Dinner, you should try Cebu's Kinilaw or Chicken Buffalo wings for appetizers, and for the main dish, you should not miss Chicken Cordon Bleu, Crispy Pork Belly Kare Kare, Crispy Pata, and of course their Thai-Dishes such as Chicken Satay, Pad-thai, and their heart-warming, spicy Tom Yum Soup.

📌 Their Home-made Ice cream is a good set for your dessert. From Top to Bottom, these flavors are really good - Vanilla, Ube, and Chocolate - their chocolate has kicks so prepare your sweet tooth!

📌 For Cocktails, you won't regret their Classic Mojitos and Expressotini.

📌 For non-alcoholic, you should try Mango Soda and Blueberry Soy Treat.

Breakfast Buffet - They don't have that vast variety of choices but mind you - you won't eat everything they offer on the buffet tables. Here are some points I can recommend/appreciate with their Breakfast Buffet;

📌 Their Cereals are rich in protein and a lot of toppings of choices are available
📌 They have special area dedicated for Cebu's Pusit and Danggit (Dried Fish and squid)
📌 Generally, healthy choices are available
📌 Must-eats? Try their scrammbled eggs, sauted mushrooms, vegetables. Not so much of an breakfast appeal? It's their hash brown, I think it's not good for me especially on a breakfast but it's good.
📌 Mortadella and Sushis are available on a Breakfast time!!!
📌 Their bread section has a wide variety of carbohydrates such as slice bread, banana bread, cupcakes, and some Cebu delicacies such as Puto Kutstinta and Puto Maya which is best paired with Black Coffee.

📌 Their fresh Juices are not fake just like in some Hotels. I personally witnessed how the F&B personnel prepared the fresh watermelon fruit into a fresh watermelon Juice.
