Are Cebuano Diners ready for this good news? Combining the nutritional properties, sustainability measures and high food safety standards of Australian beef, one can be assured of enjoying a product that is truly good in every way. As a new standard for red meat, Australian Grass Fed Beef offers a world class meat which Cebuanos would really love.

Our tables are ready for our 4-Course Dinner.
In the recent get-together dubbed "Let's Meat Up", jointly presented by Australian Trade Commission and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), it was highlighted that Australia's climate and environment provides the perfect growing conditions for all types of Beef, Lamb and Goat. With lush green pastures across the island continent, Australian farmers are able to develop a more natural approach to farming.

Ms. Natasha Monks, Australian Trade Commissioner noted that "In Australia, almost all cattle and sheep are raised on natural pastures and this meat is described as "grass fed" or "pasture fed". In the Philippines, over 90% of Australian beef that comes in is grass fed, and this means Filipinos can enjoy a better quality, healthier and tastier beef".

Let's Meat Up! Second course, Homemade Cannelloni filled with Australian lamb shoulder stew and "Ricotta" cheese oven baked with cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese

One grass fed beef product that has been sought after by butchers and chefs who have built their careers on choosing the best product and letting it speak for itself, is Cape Grim. Named after the North-Western point of Tasmania, Cape Grim Beef is the epitome of what the natural environment can do to a product. Cape Grim, along with other grass fed products are now available in top Cebu restaurants and supermarkets.

Australian grass fed beef is naturally low in fat and cholesterol, while offering a high level of Omega 3 fatty acids known to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of certain cancers.

With many countries, demanding full traceability from paddock to plate, MLA and the wider red meat industry have implemented a number of traceability and quality assurance programs, thus ensuring product quality and integrity, two key points that underpin Australia's valuable reputation as a global leader in the red meat industry.

"We are excited about this development. There are lot of things going for it" - good in flavor, good for the environment and good for the animal" Perez added.
