Niño and the Sinulog 2023 Fireworks Display and Competition.
The highlight, of course, is the Sinulog 2023 Grand Parade at the South Road Properties Sugbo Grounds. On exciting display is the Sinulog dance moves, which are two steps forward and one step backward as the dancers of various contingents sway to a distinct rhythm of drums. These graceful movements resemble the flow or current (sulog) of what was known as Cebu's Pahina River.
What was once a regional observance of piety and gratitude has turned into a national ceremony. Then blossomed into an international affair with lots of socializing and merrymaking. As with any festivals in the Philippines, there will be lots of music and dancing all over.
