Philippine Airlines - PAL Ready For Holy Week Traffic

To accommodate the volume of air travelers for Holy Week, Philippine Airlines (PAL) is adjusting its operations by adding six extra flights to three destinations and upgrading 20 international and two domestic flights by using bigger aircraft.

One additional flight will be mounted to and from each of the following destinations: Taipei and Puerto Princesa on April 8; and Hongkong on April 9.
Flights to be upgraded to bigger aircraft with more seats are those to and from Shanghai (Pudong airport) on April 4; Hongkong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Xiamen on April 5; Puerto Princesa on April 7; Hongkong, Beijing, Xiamen on April 8; and another Xiamen flight on April 9.
Meanwhile, PAL domestic operations on Good Friday, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday will be scaled down with the cancellation of 38 flights to seven destinations to allow PAL staff to observe Holy Week rituals.

On Good Friday, selected flights to and from Cotabato, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Tacloban and Zamboanga will be cancelled. On Black Saturday, cancelled are some flights to and from Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. On Easter Sunday, one flight each to Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga will also not operate.

For a hassle-free vacation, PAL advises passengers to arrive earlier than usual at the airport, double check travel documents (passport, tickets, etc.) and minimize bringing bulky carry-on baggage.
