I Traveled To Bohol From Cebu And I Chose FastCat. Why?

by - 9:42 PM

Bohol has been one of the famous provinces in the Visayas. There's Cebu of course and some white-sand beaches like Boracay, Kalanggaman Island, Virgin Island to name a few but if you wish to experience a new and fresh environment, Bohol is one of the most recommended. When it comes to travel, one of the most asked questions is how to get there? Like, how to get to Bohol from Cebu? Is it safe? How fast it will be? Some questions that most of the time only Shipping Lines could answer. I personally commend this high-end Ferry that can actually save you from your worries. Yes, I'm talking about FastCat - very safe, very fast and very convenient FastCat.

If you're reading this, you might think this is a paid post but nope! This is not! I've been to Bohol for many times already. In fact, I just came from that beautiful island last two weeks ago while visiting Amorita Resort and Momo Beach House. I used to get tickets from OceanJet. But did you know that there's the nearest port from Cebu City in Bohol? Yes, I'm talking about Tubigon Tourism Port. Luckily, Tubigon Port got the privilege of having Fast Cat in their territory. Why? Why FastCat? Here are some good reasons for you:

1. Fast Cat is the Philippines' first and only Catamaran Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) ferry. Catamaran means a boat with twin hulls in parallel. FastCat has double-hull Catamarans which make the ship more stable and are made to suit the Philippine Waters.

2. Its priorities are (1) Safety, (2) Safety and (3) Safety. FastCat is a safe and state-of-the-art RoRo vessel. It's also the only vessel that caters to the needs of the disabled with storage for wheel chair and designated elevators. You heard it right, they got elevators!

3. It is very fast, very safe and very convenient. Yes, if you used to travel from Cebu to Bohol in two hours then you should try a 1 and half hours of travel with FastCat. It also has 10 watertight compartments and no ballasts, making it safer, lighter and faster than the average RoRo. It runs at an average speed of 16.5 knots, powered by four internationally-classed and ABS-certified Yanmar engines. In comparison, most RoRo vessels only possess one.
