Among the Four Days of Cebu Food Crawl 2016, the second day was tiring but fun! We started with an almost 2-hour Factory Tour at ProFood Gallery Mango Museum and got some chill afternoon at Cafe Jasmin. But the best part of that day were the unique way of Dining at Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa and the spicy night at Gibbs' Hot Wings.
BLINDFOLDING WHILE EATING
"Eat with your senses" said Ms Cassandra Cuevas, Shangri-la Mactan Resort And Spa Director Of Communications as she opened the unique dining at Cowrie Cove Restaurant. Indeed, Cebu Food Crawlers got excited on this unique style of enjoying one's dishes. It was a Four-Course Meal and started with a blindfolding as we tasted the appetizer with our tounge only. Everybody went crazy on their guesses and what were the flavors or ingredients they tasted. That happened everytime after dishes were served such as the Soup and Dessert. But we did a break as we need our sight to enjoy the main dish - the very juicy New Zealand Lamb Rack! Shangri-la Mactan surprised us as because the prepared dishes were purposely made for only on Cebu Food Crawl event. Normally, these dishes are not available in the Restaurant but creatively prepared for us.
