Today is the Opening Salvo of Sinulog Festival 2011 through Walk of Jesus. It is a start-up of the celebration of the country's one of the major tourist attractions. Per report, security was tightened up as part of the preparation for the expected two million visitors coming from neighbor provinces and most especially from other countries.

According to report, thousands of local and foreign tourists have already booked their hotel rooms in advance just to witness the colorful and jolly festival of the Queen City of the South. As of this week, an estimate of 9,000 rooms are already been fully booked in the city's hotels and pension.

Among the guests expected at this year's Sinulog are President Benigno Aquino III and representatives from Yeosu City in South Korea, a sister city of Cebu.
